The marina stop: the city's calmest sunset, now reachable by metro.
One of the most appealing new stations for visitors, because it leaves you near the sea without a car.
Get off here for
- Aretsou Marina and its moored sailing boats.
- Kalamaria's seafront promenade, quieter and more family-oriented than the Nea Paralia.
- Cafés and fish tavernas looking across the Thermaic Gulf to Mount Olympus.
Good to know
The sun sets behind Olympus here, which makes it one of the finest spots in the city for it, and until recently it was hard to reach without a car.
Where it puts you
In Nea Krini and Aretsou, the seaward side of Kalamaria, with a distinctly Mediterranean feel.
