"The Ports of Rebetiko" at the Vafopouleio
A rebetiko music tribute tracing a route from Smyrna to Piraeus, Syros and Thessaloniki.
The Vafopouleio Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Thessaloniki presents the music tribute "The Ports of Rebetiko" on Saturday 17 October 2026, in the centre's theatre.
The programme is built as a musical journey through the port cities where rebetiko took shape: Smyrna, Piraeus, Syros and Thessaloniki.
The Vafopouleio sits on the eastern side of the city and regularly hosts concerts and events organised by the Municipality.
